Madam Sisi, do you enjoy chewing gum? シィシィさん、美味しいですか？

Liliputbahn Hauptbahnhof. It is my family tradition to ride on it at once a year.リリプットの中央駅。我が家には、年に1度はリリプットに乗る習慣があります。

Our Liliput train has arrived！ 私たちの乗るリリプットが来ました！

We will take this seat here. ここに席をとることにしましょう。

At the stop “Rotunde” you can see the Prater Hauptallee. 停車駅のひとつ”Rotunde”。向こうに有名なプラーターの並木道が見えます。

We move on. 再度、出発。

Going into the green landscape！ 緑の中に突入！

After approximately a twenty minute ride we walk around Prater. In this picture you can see the famous “Schweizerhaus”. 約20分の乗車でした。下車後はプラーター公園内を少し散歩しました。この建物は、有名なレストラン「シュヴァイツァーハウス」です。

Balloon vendor close to Schweizerhaus. Since my childhood I have always loved balloons. Back then there were only typical round shaped ones. Nowadays balloons have different shapes and also look like famous characters and are so colourful. They show their short splendor entrusting themselves to the wind. 「シュヴァイツァーハウス」近くのお店で風船が売られていました。子供の頃から、私は風船が大好きです。しかし、私が子供の頃は、典型的な丸い風船しかありませんでした。今はいろんな形や、キャラクターのものが多く、非常にカラフルですね。その、短い美しさを、風に身を委ねながら見せています。

Short cool down break. I ordered “Viennese Ice Coffee”, which is not just cold coffee but rather coffee with Vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. 涼しい木陰で一休み。「ウィーン風アイスカフェー」を頼みました。これは日本のアイスコーヒーとは違い、コーヒーにアイスクリームと泡立てたクリームが乗っています。

As we continued our walk, we found a cow on a balcony. Are you up there, Mrs. Cow? 散歩を再開。あれ、牛さん、そこに？ヴェランダに登ったんですか？

Wirtschaftsuniversität (University of Economics) next to Prater. プラーター公園の隣は「ウィーン経済大学」です。

It is a luxury to be able to leave bicycles in nature like this. こんな風に、自然の中に自転車を置けることは素敵だと思います。

Wonderful flowers in beds on campus looking like fireworks. 大学の敷地内の花壇の花。まるで花火のようで綺麗。

Arrived at the final destination “Krieau”, which is one of my favourite places. Here we rest a little bit. 最終目的地「クリーアウ」に到着。私の大好きな場所の一つです。少しここで休憩します。

Vienna has finally been blessed with good weather. Every day it is quite stable with about 21degrees daytime maximum. Last weekend however the temperature climbed much higher to almost early Summer levels. At Burggarten Vienna there were many people sunbathing with some even wearing bathing suits. Here I will show some pictures from May 21st.

やっとウィーンは良いお天気に恵まれています。毎日安定したお天気で、今日は最高気温摂取21度で気持ち良いです。このあいだの日曜日には気温が高くなり、初夏のようでした。ウィーン市内の公園では、たくさんの人々が甲羅干しをしており、中には水着姿の人もいました。その、5月21日日曜日の写真を載せます。

Volksgarten, chestnut trees. Surely nice to jog here. フォルクスガルテン（民衆庭園）のカスタニエの木々。ここでジョギングすると気持ちいいでしょうね。

Some roses at Volksgarten are in full bloom フォルクスガルテン（民衆庭園）の薔薇の中には、既に満開のものもありました

Empress Sisi and a duck in safety, because there is a barrier and people are not allowed to enter, which the duck seems to know and enjoy シィシィと鴨。ここは立ち入り禁止になっていることを鴨は知っているようで、悠々とのんびりしているようです。

I have been back in Vienna for a week and it has rained every day since. It is called “Der wunderschöne Monat Mai”, yes it is true there is lush green and blossoming everywhere but it is raining all the time. It seems like a “mini rainy season” now.

ウィーンに戻ってきて1週間になりますが、ほとんど毎日、雨。「素晴らしく美しい5月」というように、緑や花が溢れているものの、雨ばかりではやりきれません。まるで「ミニ梅雨」みたいです。

Nobody can sit outside. Cafe has given up on it.

誰も戸外に席をとりません。カフェも諦めたようです。

It is not only raining but also a little cold. Flowers are trembling.

雨が降るだけでなく、肌寒いです。花も震えているよう。

At the supermarket I saw cherries for the first time this year. The beautiful red colour warms my heart.

スーパーマーケットの初物の桜桃。美しい赤い色が、私の心を暖めてくれるかのようです。

I was away from Vienna for a couple of days and when I got back, I was amazed because the trees along Mariahilferstrasse were already green. Before I left there were almost no leaves were visible. Not only that, almost everywhere in flower beds and in the parks, trees are blossoming fully. Finally the time has come.

数日間ウィーンを離れていただけなのに、帰ってみてびっくり！マリアヒルフ通りの並木が緑になっているではありませんか！つい先日までほとんど葉をつけていなかったのに。それだけではありません。道端の花壇にも花が溢れ、公園の木々も青々としています。やっと春たけなわとなりました。

Before I left, these flowers were closed buds. After only a short while, they have all opened fully.

私が出発する前はまだ蕾だったのに、もう、皆、花が開きました。

After some time I am back in Piemonte, Italy to take singing lessons. Compared with Vienna, there is already more lush green here which is surprising and gives me pleasure looking at it. Especially there are many red poppies in the fields. It is so obvious seeing red flowers surrounded by lush greens. Those poppy flowers seem so close and friendly and I find them beautiful.

暫くぶりに、声楽のレッスンを受けに、北部イタリアのピエモンテ州に来ています。ウィーンと違って、既に緑に溢れていることに驚き、喜ばしく思います。特筆できるのは、野にたくさん咲いている赤いひなげしです。緑の中の赤い色は際立っていて、目を惹きます。ひなげしは、なんだか親しみを覚える花であり、綺麗だと思います。

Every time I come to this supermarket, I enjoy looking at this tree enveloping the stairs and wall, I find this so cute.

いつもこのスーパーマーケットを訪れると、この木に逢えるのが楽しみです。階段の手すりにしっかりとしがみついていて、なんだかいじらしい。

Here in Vienna, Spring has not fully started. However it appears that people are already thinking about Summer vacation. On Mariahilferstrasse, a famous shopping street in Vienna, a shopwindow already shows bathing suits. Incidentally next door is the entrance to a fitness studio. I think these two might make an excellent mutual advertising effect.

ここ、ウィーンはまだ春が始まったばかりですが、すでに心が夏休みに飛んでいっている人達もいるようです。買い物で有名なマリアヒルファー通りの、或るショウウインドウには、もう、水着が展示されています。偶然にも隣はフィットネスクラブの入り口。お互い、良い宣伝効果がありそうです。

After some time I visited Burggarten in Vienna. There was a lot of lush green and flowers and finally Spring can be enjoyed. 久しぶりにウィーン王宮庭園を訪ねました。若い緑と花を見ることができ、やっと春らしさを実感できました。

Again, Peonies are in full bloom. また、牡丹の花が咲き誇る季節です。

Lilac blossoming as well. ライラックの花も、もう咲いていました。
