In my hometown Kochi in Japan even in Winter there are many beautiful plants. When shining the sun is strong and feels good. Here I show you some pictures of beautiful plants I took while taking walks.
From mid December until the end of January I was in Japan. For business I travelled a bit but most of the time I spent in my hometown Kochi. This city is located at the Southern coast of Shikoku, embraced by the Pacific Ocean. The fantastic climate which I love from my heart can only be understood living there. By showing some pictures I want to give you a small glimpse into it.
When I was very small, my grandparents and I were often waiting for my mother in the afternoon. I remember only vaguely but I still see the image of my mother approaching me along the river waving her hand and calling my name.
Now finally it has gotten a little warmer. Here in Vienna there was a cold spell. All was literally frozen. It snowed many times and I saw many plants covered with snow and some even covered with ice! I associated it with “icing” on cakes.
Yesterday (December 2nd) there was a snowy surprise in the city of Vienna. It had been announced but still the amount was surprising. In the evening my husband had a performance with a recital and so we went out in the snow. It was evident that the amount of snow was surprising because the roads were not fully cleared. It was quite difficult and time-consuming to walk. During the event I could hear the road being cleared outside and on the way home there were already tiny stones and salt on the sidewalk which made it much easier to walk.
The year 2023 is coming to a close. She hopes next year will be a good one… From the series “Girls with sweaters”. 2023年もあと残り僅か。来年は良い年でありますように、と彼女は願っています。シリーズ「セーターを着た女の子」より
Some days ago there was snow in Vienna, which was the first time this Winter season. The temperatures did not stay negative and today (November 29th) there was rain. Three Christmas Trees in front of a hotel, the illumination is reflected in the wet pavement, I find that quite beautiful.
